Steffen Trekel is one of the leading mandolinists and educators for his instrument.

He studied Mandolin at the Musikhochschule Köln with Prof. Marga Wilden-Hüsgen and is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions. Countless concert tours, in which he performed solo as well as in various chamber music ensembles and with famous orchestras, took him all over Europe, Japan, Korea and the USA.

He is a sought-after lecturer for further education and master classes worldwide. Since 1995 Steffen Trekel has worked as a lecturer in Mandolin and Methodology at the Hamburg Conservatory.
