Susanne Frohriep was born and grown up in Rostock. At age 9 she started to learn accordion with Lydia Künitz at the conservatory of Rostock. Later she studied instrumental education at the conservatory of Lübeck, advancing her accordion skills as her major subject with Margit Kern. She joined the master classes of Hugo Noth, Ivan Koval, Claudia Buder and Mikko Luoma (Turku/Finnland). Susanne Frohriep was pricewinner at the competitions of „Jugend musiziert“ and the „Deutscher Akkordeon Musikwettbewerb“.

She performed regularly with the Philharmonisches Orchester Rostock and the Philharmonisches Orchester Lübeck. Susanne Frohriep is member of the duo „D´accord“ and of the Martino-Ensemble.
